Avarante

Avarante^® is an oral treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) designed for men who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection suitable for sexual activity.

It does not increase sexual desire and only works when you are sexually stimulated.

Avarante^® contains tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor, which helps relax blood vessels in the penis to support improved blood flow during arousal.

It can start to work in around 30 minutes and remains effective for up to 36 hours, giving a longer window of opportunity compared to some other ED treatments.

This medicine is supplied following a clinical assessment and reviewed by a UK-registered pharmacist.

Always follow the instructions in the Patient Information Leaflet supplied with your medicine.

• Take 1 tablet at least 30 minutes before anticipated sexual activity.
• Swallow whole with a drink of water.
• Can be taken with or without food.
• Do not take more than 1 tablet in 24 hours.
• Not intended for continuous daily use. If you use Avarante^® frequently (at least twice weekly), you should consult with your doctor.

Avarante^® will only work when you are sexually stimulated.

Avarante^® is suitable for men aged 18 and over experiencing erectile dysfunction.

Do not take Avarante^® if you:

• Take nitrate medicines for chest pain or heart conditions
• Take riociguat or other guanylate cyclase stimulators
• Are advised to avoid sexual activity due to heart conditions
• Have had a recent heart attack or stroke
• Have severe heart, liver or kidney problems
• Have uncontrolled blood pressure (high or low)
• Have ever experienced vision loss due to NAION
• Have a deformed penis (e.g. Peyronie's disease)
• Are allergic to tadalafil or any ingredients
• Are under 18 or female

Speak to a healthcare professional first if you have heart disease, circulation problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, or a history of prolonged erections.

Like all medicines, Avarante^® may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects include:

• Headache
• Back pain
• Muscle aches
• Facial flushing
• Indigestion
• Nasal congestion
• Dizziness

Less common or rare side effects include:

• Visual changes or eye pain
• Fast heartbeat or palpitations
• Low or high blood pressure
• Prolonged erection (priapism)
• Sudden hearing or vision loss (rare)
• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Seek urgent medical help if you experience chest pain, an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or sudden loss of vision or hearing.
